    business cards

The holidays are almost upon us and there’s no better time to get our goods promoted for the season! This is a business card swap and the rules are really quite simple.

Rule #1. Send each of your partners a business card.

Yep, that’s it. Really, I wouldnt lie to you.

Of course you could throw in some extra small goodies for a heart. 🙂

I figure the best way to promote our businesses is to spread the love around so, you will have 10 partners.

I am leaving this open to those of you who have at least a 4.8  with no recent 1’s or 3’s, and for newbies as long as you have a filled out profile. (It’s not hard and takes no time at all.)

Ideally, you should have some type of goods you are selling (crafts, photography, cosmetics, etc.) or service that you provide (cosmetology, massage therapy, photographer, graphic design, etc.)

If you fit into the above categories, then feel free to sign up.

Last day to sign up is Wednesday, November 4th. Partners will be assigned Thursday, November 5th. Packages must be sent out no later than Wednesday, November 11th.

    Mega MP3 Mix

    Ink_Jet_Printable_Recordable_Compact_Disc

I’m a music junkie, I’ll admit it. I’ve found so many great artists through the past CD swaps I’ve participated in. I wanted to put together a super mix of all of my favorite songs to share with my Swap-bot lovelies. So here goes…

You will have 2 partners to send to. This is an MP3 mixed CD swap. Please pick at least 100 of your favorite songs. I’m going to put a limit of no more than 5 songs per artist. I dont want people just throwing complete albums on here. Variety is the key! Also, there is no need for a track list if you’re using iTunes to create your CD. It will automatically store the track info on the CD.

For those of you not familiar with compiling an MP3 CD, it’s quite easy. If you’re using iTunes, make a new playlist with your favorite songs. Select all of them and right click. Select ‘create an MP3 version. Move your MP3 songs into a new playlist and create a CD. Make sure when you create the CD, you create an MP3 CD. (If you have any questions, just drop me a line.)

I am leaving this open to those of you who have at least a 4.8  with no recent 1’s or 3’s, and for newbies as long as you have a filled out profile. (It’s not hard and takes no time at all.) And since you are choosing YOUR favorite songs, you can burn the CD as soon as you create your playlist so I’m setting 5 days between the date you get your partners until the date you have to mail the CD by.

Sign up deadline is Friday, October 30th. Partners will be assigned Saturday, October 31st. Packages must be shipped no later than Wednesday, November 4th.

    Why Swap

    Since December 1st, 2008 I have received:

    • 25 Mixed CDs
    • 12 postcards from all over the world
    • 8 Christmas cards from all over the world
    • Scrapbooking items
    • Business Cards
    • Surveys/Favorite Lists
    • Photographs
    • Holiday gift tags
    • Etsy Hearts
    • Surprise items
    • Gloves
    • Flat rate cram boxes

Some of my friends have asked me why I participate in swaps on Swap-bot. Not only is it great to get stuff in the mail (and not have it be bills) but it’s fun to get items from other countries, especially things that you can’t get where you live. I’ve also met some wonderful people who I talk to on a regular basis. Some people have said that they just dont have the money to go out and buy stuff to swap. You don’t have to! There are so many different swaps available that you’ll be able to find the right one for you.
