Favorite City ATC

china-hong-kong

Sipping margaritas in Key West? Window shopping in Rome? Strolling the beach in Rio de Janeiro? What’s your favorite city?

You will each have 1 partner and you will make 1 ATC of your favorite city. This could be a city you have visited or one that you would like to visit. Anywhere in the world. Please take your time and make something nice. They dont have to be overly extravagant but don’t just slap a sticker on it. Make something that you would like to get in return.

For a greater variety of ATCs, this will be an international swap! I am leaving this open to those of you who have at least a 4.8 with no recent 1’s or 3’s, and for newbies as long as you have a filled out profile. (It’s not hard and takes no time at all.)

I must admit, this has been one of the best packages I have recieved yet. Rick (rick1949) sent me not one, but two beautiful ATCs. The first is an Alice In Wonderland themed ATC. Rick says, “If you study the Disney one, I hope you see its a ticket about disappointment-broken dreams and torn promises.” I do and I love the dark theme! The second one was designed for me in mind: Egypt. Vivid colors, belly dancers, jewels and pharaohs. It doesn’t get any better than that. He also sent a gorgeous card with an Alphonse Mucha image on it. I wish I could have given Rick 10 hearts. It’s well deserved!

I’m participating in my first ever ATC swap this month. Why didn’t you guys tell me these were so fun to make? Shame on you! πŸ™‚

I thought it would be fun to put together a possible series swap on ancient Egyptian gods. The first ATC will be on Osiris. If this swap goes well, I will also host swaps for Anubis, Ra, Osiris, Seth and a few more.

A little info on Horus: He is probably most well-known as the protector of the ruler of Egypt. The Egyptians believed that the pharaoh was the ‘living Horus’. The ancient Egyptians had many different beliefs about the god Horus. One of the most common beliefs was that Horus was the son of Isis and Osiris. After Osiris was murdered by his brother Seth, Horus fought with Seth for the throne of Egypt. In this battle, Horus lost one of his eyes. The eye was restored to him and it became a symbol of protection for the ancient Egyptians. After this battle, Horus was chosen to be the ruler of the world of the living.

You could throw in some extra small goodies for a heart. πŸ™‚
